i68 Mobile Phone

How to fix emergency calls only on the Sciphone i68

1) Shut down your phone completely (you will know because a red sign will come up on your phone and you have to confirm that you are shutting it down).

2) Take our your battery and then your sim card

3) Make sure that your sim card is in the right way. (It has to be on the highest slot, not the one closest to the bottomof the phone, and the metal plates have to be facing down, or towards the phone).

4) Reinsert your battery and then start your phone up again

5) Go to restore factory settings and plug in the code 1122 when it asks for one. NOTE: Your phone will reboot, and when it turns on it should be okay.

We tried everything and this is the only thing that worked. We had t-mobile sim cards for both phones and it worked fine. Good luck!

Sciphone Common Troubleshooting Guild:

Most of the comments /faults/ complaints about the i68 can be fixed by removing battery ,sim. re-insert sim (your main sim must be placed in the left hand sim insert only, looking at the back of your phone it is on the left hand side, the one closest to the board)put battery back in, be careful not to bend the pins that push onto the battery contacts, these are very easily bent on these phones and will not make phone power/data etc work properly. turn phone on /unlock then go into settings/go into restore factory settings, it will ask for a code, put in 1122 this is the factory code for these phones, it will ask if you want to restore to factory settings press yes. phone will shut down itself and restart itself. do not press anything for 5 minutes the phone will read sim and allow that network to be recognised by the phone(your sim is like a passport that has millions of data inbuilt in the plastic and the phone has to info into its memory after this it should be ok. the battery going flat very fast can be fixed by buying a 1200 or above battery. most of the batteries supplied with phone are 850 batteries not enough power for these phones.

    1)about the battery life and whether it is possible to upgrade the battery so that it lasts longer
    2) is the connection compatible with Ipod accessories
    3) is the dual sim simulataneous use

    A: yes, 2 pieces 1200mAh will last 1-2 days for normal use, mini USB connector, dual sim active at same time.
